Push Up/Pull Down Roller Shutter Operation
Operation of the roller shutter door is simply a push up or pull down action, typically fitted with a pin lock or bullet lock to secure. Ideal for smaller apertures, or locations that are opened and closed a limited number of times per day, such as a doorway entrance.
Hand Chain Operated Roller Shutter Doors
Raised via a continuous haul chain, this mode of roller shutter operation is suited to industrial applications. A hand chain wheel at the end of the door uses reduction gears to drive the fully sprung counterbalance roller barrel assembly. A chain keep holds the haul chain in position ensuring the roller shutter door cannot be opened once in place.
Single Phase Tubular Motor Driven Roller Shutters
With a choice of control options, single phase tubular motors are ideal for protecting shopfront entrances, windows and doorways that only require roller shutter door operation a limited number of times a day. Choose to operate via a rocker switch, key switch or remote-control transmitter.
Single or 3 Phase Power Operated Roller Shutters
Suited to heavy duty roller shutter door applications that require frequent use such as loading bays and distribution centres, 3 phase 415-volt electric motors are operated via a standard up, down and stop push buttons mounted onto the control panel. In the event of a power failure, a continuous haul chain enables the roller shutter door to be manually operated. For sites that do not have a 3-phase supply or do not require frequent operation, a single phase 340-volt motor is available as an alternative. Available with a choice of accessories – Group control units, key switches etc…

Why not add wicket door access?
Personnel access is available as an option via a wicket door fitted to the side of the roller shutter door. The door is locked in place when the roller shutter is closed to allow the roller shutter to open fully and safely when operating by hand. Safety interlocks can be used to ensure safe powered operation of the roller shutter, preventing opening when the wicket door in use.
