Callisto EX37
The Callisto EX37 range of aluminium continental roller shutters are the ideal security solution where space is limited, and appearences
are key.
Constructed using a robust 37mm double skinned extruded aluminium slat, the EX37 offers exceptional strength, whilst it's compact and discreet design means that it compliments both domestic and commercial
applications.
The tightly coiling nature of the EX37, allows it to roll within boxes from as little as 150mm, an impossiblity for conventional steel shutters, however small the application.
|
|
 |
Finish
As standard the EX37 is polyester powder coated in white or brown, but most RAL or BS colours can be achieved upon request.
Door Construction

Curtain
Constructed from 37mm deep x 9.5mm wide double skin extruded aluminium slats, weighing 8kg/m2. The curtain is fully endlocked and complete with a 41mm deep bottom slat with a
rubber weather seal.
For shutters that require vision, perforated or punched holes can be incorporated.

Side Guides
The EX37 has 53mm x 22mm extruded aluminium guide channels as standard, but for added security a 66mm x 22mm security guide can be incorporated. Both guides include double brush seals as standard

Electric Operation
Using a compact tubular motor located in a 60mm x 1.0mm steel axle, the shutter can be effortlessly opened and closed via one or a combination of the following control options: -
Key switch, rocker switch, remote control, digital keypad.
The tubular motor can be specifed with or without a manual override facility, dependant on the application that it's securing.

Swivel Belt Operation
Ideal for small applications, a tape pulley system, lifted and lowered by hand, can operate an externally fitted shutter from inside. For added security, a lock can be fitted within the bottom
slat of the curtain.

|
 |
| |
|
|
|
Manual Self Coiling
A unique spring system at the head of the shutter compensates the weight of the curtain. so that it can be lifted up and down by hand with ease.
A centrally located lock, concealed in the bottom slat prevents the shutter from being forced open.

|
Gearbox Operation
The cost effectrive solution, when internal operation is required to an externally fitted application, a folding crank rod, discreetly clipped to the wall, is used to operate a manual gearbox inside the
shutter header.

Fixing Arrangements
Standard Face Fix
Mounting the shutter onto the face of an opening is the most typical method for built on applications. The shutter is fitted above the opening with the guide channels to either side of it.
A full canopy is supplied as standard to fully enclose the barrel mechanism, ensuring the shutter is fully protected for both internal and external applications alike.
For Electric or Gearbox operated shutters, the crank mechanism can be positioned so as to be operated from either inside or outside.
Cill angles may be required on some face fixed applications where a window cill is not present.
|
|
 |
Standard Reveal Fix
Mounting the shutter between the reveals is common on both doorway and cabinet applications, whereby there is no face present to fix to.
Usually the shutter box and guides protrude into the opening.
On wider applications, it is advisable to support the shutter canopy by fixing an angle between the head plate.
|
|
 |
Face / Reveal Fix
An opening with a face fix arrangement on one side and a reveal fix on the other, combines the two typical layouts as shown above. |
